Terms, Shipping, Returns, Privacy & Condition Guide
Shipping & Returns
Shipping: We offer complimentary tracked and insured shipping worldwide. Orders are dispatched within 2 working days, usually arriving in 6-18 days globally. Paintings are shipped in custom-built wooden crates, which can take up to four weeks to build. Please note, you’re responsible for any import duties at your country’s border.
Packaging: We’ve worked closely with our suppliers to ensure that your poster packaging is made from sustainably sourced and recyclable materials. We’re currently searching in Kazakhstan for a supplier who can build sustainable wooden crates.
If your artwork is damaged in transit, please take a photo before opening the package. This helps us make a claim with the shipping company. We’ll cover the cost of return shipping, and refund your purchase.
Returns: You have 14 days from receipt of your artwork to initiate a return. Should you decide to return your purchase, you’re responsible for the return shipping and a restock and admin fee equal to the initial shipping costs.
Please carefully repackage your artwork before shipping it. Goods must be marked as ‘Returned goods with zero commercial value’. Otherwise, you may be liable for import duty/taxes, which will be deducted from your refund. We recommend using tracking and insurance.
We stand behind the authenticity of every painting and poster we offer. We consult with artists, their families, other dealers and experts to ensure that authenticity of the artworks we offer. We also track the provenance of artworks to ensure transparency and traceability.
For cultural heritage items over 50 years old, we adhere strictly to legal requirements, and will obtain an export certificate where required.
Despite our thorough validation process, the complex nature of art history and limited information can sometimes mean we make mistakes. In the event that an artwork sold through COMRADE is later proven to be a forgery, we’ll refund your purchase and give you a credit worth 20% of the original purchase price towards any future purchase.
This policy underscores our dedication to authenticity, our respect for the art community, and our commitment to keeping our customers’ trust.
